Face Shape Selection

At Eyeglassdirect.com it is our ultimate goal to find the right frame shape for your face. The following illustrations and information are designed to assist in choosing the most flattering frames for you.

There are six basic facial shapes (diamond, heart, oval, rectangle, round or square) provided for your convenience. Each face shape has an icon that will show a picture of a model with that face shape wearing the frame that you have selected.

To determine your face shape, while looking in the mirror (or with a friend) pull your hair from your forehead and temples and match your face shape to the illustrations below.

Diamond A small forehead, wide temple area that gradually decreases to a small chin area.
Heart The forehead is the widest part of the face, then it narrows gradually to the chin, which is slightly pointed.
Oval A well-balanced face - the top half balances the bottom half.
Rectangle Long, narrow face (oblong) with a squarish chin (rectangle).
Round A large, curved forehead with a rounded chin. The face looks full and has very few angles.
Square A wide forehead, cheek and chin area where the jaw is relatively angular in appearance.
